Operator Updates for Northam Market Travel
Update: Another update. Any routes incomplete or missing running boards/timetables will be completed by either this Sunday, or next Sunday. I have time to do things so, yeah.
Update: We finally have gotten around to running in the north alongside our usual routes. With a new bus station installed at Bellingham (where Pennine Meadows would stand for reference), not only can we run regular services, we also have a depot for the buses meant to run here. With this, please welcome the NL route series! NL stands for NorthernLink. These services operate where no other company does. Our first NL route will be NL1. More info soon!
Update: You may notice the X5 is now operational. It is *PARTIALLY* operational, with a reduced bus capacity. Only the first 3 inbound departing buses are actually running said route.
Update: Northam Market Travel is possibly the largest operator within the Dales right now. We support almost all of the areas in here, and keeps the Dales connected. We have major routes like the X2, X3, X4, X90, and soon to be X5 & X91, as well as rural connector routes like the 581, 21, 830, the 79s and 159s, 869 and 870 buses, and all the others. Without these buses, some areas here would still be disconnected. Going all the way back to the first day of operations, we only had around 2 or 3 routes. Now we have 40. We also have a growing fleet of vehicles, since our new shipment from Femlink. Thank you for everything, everyone, and we hope to keep servicing your local areas in future!
Update: Northam Market Travel is receiving many new buses. During this time, bus services may be disrupted due to the sheer volume of buses being received. We hope this does not interfere and normal services interfere. Bus hire will likely be undisrupted and will have more buses available for hire. You may have noticed that some buses are still running on their original Femlink routes for now--they will cease on their last scheduled day.
Update: NEW SERVICES COMING INTO EFFECT SOON! Demand Responsive Travel planned to be active soon. These DRT buses will run as "A" for their route number, as it will be running DRT section A. Services do require pre-booking or alternatively you can check timetables or call to see if any buses run standardly (prefixed A, e.g. A1). You can call to check for booked buses. (don't actually)
Update: X90 and other Double-Decked bus routes may be affected while we procure more B7TL Plaxtons. They are set to arrive on the 8th of June.
Update: You can also hire buses from us! https://www.mybustimes.cc/operator/northam-travel-maintenance-services/vehicles/ This is where you can hire vehicles from us. You can dm me on discord (pikathesillyfemboy) or message me here on MBT (pikasilly)!
Update: Oops! Sorry for this company being inactive. We will be back now
Update: NO BUSES ARE RUNNING UNTIL 4-5PM TODAY DUE TO ROADWORKS. The diversion we would have to take does sadly not fit any buses. We are sorry for this.
Update: Northam Market Director here! We have finally completed our new depot. All buses will be moved from the station into the new depot soon (around the middle of night.)
Update: The new depot is expected to be completed by tomorrow.
Update: Recently we have acquired a plot of land (formerly Fairhurst Concrete) just north of Settle. We will be constructing a new depot here. This depot is estimated that it will be able to hold around 50-60 buses. For our expanding fleet, this is perfect. This new depot will be able to service all of our bus storage needs. Currently however, Northam Maintenance & Services will remain stationed at Kirkby Stephen, in the Rail Station parking lot, as our new depot will only hold our buses. Any inquiries can be directed to the NTM&S building via mail.
Update: X3 under route testing. Any issues will be handled by management.
Update: X3 will not run until confirmed able to run this route.
Update: 𝗞𝗶𝗿𝗸𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗕𝘂𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 As our fleet becomes larger and routes are created, we need a better place to have our buses stay and wait at, and run all our major services. Over the last few days, we have started roadwork to upgrade the area where the station will be. The stop has been moved up, a refuge moved, and new markings at the stop. It can fit around 4 buses at any time. We will expand further to find another suitable place for a bigger station, but for now, this is our best. - 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗺 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿, 𝗽𝗶𝗸𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘆
Update: X1B will be entering service soon. 13 will be entering service soon. 12 will be entering service soon.
Update: -Northam Market Travel- Connecting Rural Communites, from Settle to Hawes, and Bentham to Clapham, we're there for you. Northam Market Travel. Community transport, reconnecting communities. We directly compete to all buses in our operating area, the "Settle Void"; where most buses do not operate. We strive to operate these community services to help residents of the "Settle Void" to have regular bus services. - NMT / TLN, pikasilly
Update: Hello all MBT people! Northam Market Travel has started operations in quite the empty area--Settle. The void of no buses around settle will soon be gone, and be replaced by NMT. Yay. I guess?
