Update: MULTIPLE SERVICES | CHELMSFORD| EVENT ROAD CLOSURE: Essex Pride March 2026 | 20/06/2026 12th Jun 2026 Mid Essex Location Chelmsford Cause EVENT: Essex Pride March 2026 Responsibility Closure by TPCA (Chelmsford) Effective 20/06/2026 - 20/06/2026 The Essex Pride March returns on Saturday 20th June 2026. Whilst the event is underway - there will be a rolling road closure from 11:15 to 12:45 along Fairfield Road, onto Duke Street, through the city centre and across New London Road (at the junction with Bellmead). Due to the location of the temporary road closures - the following services will be placed on minor diversions and will temporarily not serve stops located in the city centre:
Update: Radford Way, Billericay Cause Utility Asset Works Responsibility Cadent Effective 23/03/2026 - 03/06/2026 *Update added 26/03/2026* The road closure has changed and it is no longer necessary for services to be placed on diversion in both directions - and no longer necessary to change diversion routes at peak / off-peak hours. Radford Way, Billericay is closed for roadworks. The permit's end date is: 3 Jun 23:59 BST. Due to the location of the road closure - the 9 / 300 and 561 will experience disruption: 9 Towards Brentwood: Normal line of route. All bus stops served. Towards Basildon: *PEAK HOURS* The 9 will not serve Mountnessing Road or Billericay Railway Station. The following journeys will be placed on diversion - and will not serve: Beaufort Road, Bellevue Road, Ricketts Drive and Billericay Railway Station: Brentwood Railway Station -> Basildon Bus Station: 07:30 | 08:10 | 14:25 | 15:15 | 16:25 300 The 300 will operate to normal line of route in both directions but will likely experience delays due to increased traffic in and around the area. 561 AM and PM journeys are being assessed on a case by case basis - dependent on significance of daily disruption. The bus driver will inform customers of any route diversions or non-stops.
Update: Oak Road, Heybridge Cause Utility Asset Works Responsibility Cadent Effective 11/05/2026 - 25/05/2026 Oak Road, Heybridge is closed for roadworks from 11/05/2026. The permit's end date is: 25 May. Due to the location of the road closure - the 75 / 333 will divert in both directions via Colchester Road (B1022). Update: Calcutta Road, Tilbury Cause Highway Repair and Maintenance Works Responsibility Thurrock Council Effective 28/05/2026 - 29/05/2026 Calcutta Road, Tilbury is closed for roadworks from 28/05/2026 to 29/05/2026. Due to the location of the roadworks - the 200 will divert in both directions via Montreal Road and Dock Road. The following bus stops will not be served in both directions: Toronto Road Calcutta Road (Eastbound/Westbound) Passengers are advised to use the following alternate bus stop(s) to board/disembark the 200: Towards Grays: Calcutta Road (South-bound) / Tilbury Town Station (North Entrance) Towards Basildon: Tilbury Town Station (Opposite) / Calcutta Road (North-bound)

We are making changes to the Essex bus network from Sunday 31st August 2025. Key details: Ahead of the start of the new school term, beginning next month, we’ll be introducing a range of service improvements across our region on Sunday 31st August. Service: Journey: What's changing? X10 Airlink - Basildon to Stansted Airport Monday to Friday - MORNING journeys will depart Basildon earlier - to improve route punctuality. X20 Airlink - Braintree to Stansted Airport The 08:35 journey will now terminate at Osborne Street, Colchester. The 10:40 journey will now commence at High Street, Colchester. X30 Airlink - Southend to Stansted Airport NEW pick-up/drop-off points on London Road, Rayleigh - The bus stops are called: opp Electricity Board and o/s Electricity Board. No change to timetable. 9 Basildon to Brentwood Minor changes to the timetable. 21/21S Southend to Canvey Island Revised timetable - to operate on a hourly basis Monday to Saturday (with additional journeys at school times). The 21 service will now operate (east of Southend city centre) via Woodgrange Drive and past Thorpe Bay station. Following Great Wakering Church the 21 service continues to Shoeburyness East Beach and no longer to Landwick. 26 Southend to Shoeburyness The 26 service will now operate between Southend and Shoeburyness East Beach ONLY - on a hourly basis - via Woodgrange Drive, Lifstan Way, Bournes Green Chase, North Shoebury Road, Maplin Way North and Campfield Road. 25/825 Basildon to Southend Minor changes to the timetable - a small number of underutilised journeys have been withdrawn. 27/27A/827 Southend to Canvey Island Minor changes to the timetable. 28 Southend to Basildon Minor changes to the timetable. 625 Chelmsford to Southend Schools Minor changes to the timetable. Service 625 will now operate via Eastwood Kent Elm. Progress Road will no longer be served. 725 Basildon to Southend Schools WITHDRAWN - NO LONGER IN OPERATION C2 Chelmsford to Broomfield Hospital Minor changes to the timetable - EVENING ONLY 31/331/332/333 Chelmsford to Burnham-on-Crouch EXTRA JOURNEYS - FUNDED BY BSIP (Love Your Bus) - The NEW morning and afternoon journeys are indicated on the revised 31/331/332/333 timetable. 37 Warley to Bishops Hall Estate The Monday to Saturday service has been WITHDRAWN – NO LONGER IN OPERATION. Service 351 will continue to serve the section of route between Brentwood High Street and Warley. UPDATE 21/08/2025 - Central Connect will operate the Monday to Saturday service (to be renumbered as SERVICE 60) from 1st September 2025. Monday to Saturday journeys to Monkwick will NO LONGER OPERATE. The Sunday service to continue to operate on a half hourly basis. 56 Colchester to Layer de la Haye The 56 service will now serve Osborne Street, Colchester. 57 Colchester to Baronswood Way The 57 service will now serve Osborne Street, Colchester. 68/68A Highwoods to West Mersea Minor changes to the timetable. 87 Great Horkesley to Brightlingsea Minor changes to the timetable - specifically schoolday only departure times. The Monday to Friday service will now operate on a half hourly basis between 10:00 and 13.00. 102/104 Colchester to Harwich Minor changes to the timetable. NEW Monday to Friday departure at 17:10 (This journey replaces the following departures: 16:55 and 17:25). 320 Colchester to Great Notley The 14:40 and 17:35 journeys from Colchester are WITHDRAWN - NO LONGER IN OPERATION.
Update: Mountnessing Road, Billericay Cause Utility Repair and Maintenance Works Responsibility Essex and Suffolk Water Effective 25/07/2025 - 04/08/2025 Mountnessing Road, Billericay is closed for roadworks from Monday 25th July to Monday 4th August 2025. Due to the location of the road closure - there are long delays in and around the local area - both the 9 and 300 services are experiencing disruption. To retain punctuality, the 9 service will divert in both directions via London Road (A129). The following bus stops will not be served: Gooseberry Green Ricketts Drive Bellevue Road Beaufort Road London Road (south-bound). We apologise for the disruption to your bus journey.
Update: We are making minor changes to the Essex bus network from Sunday 27th July 2025. Key details: We are making some minor changes to services for the duration of the summer school holiday period ONLY. This is to reflect lower demand and provide more appropriate running times when traffic levels are lighter in the morning and afternoon. In Colchester, the 54 service will operate a Sunday service, every 15 minutes - improving frequency. There are also changes to the 88 service which will now be provided by konectbuses during the daytime - Monday to Saturday.
